My Portfolio
I invite you to go take a look at the websites described below. Each site is very different from the others.
And, the design I create for you will be different, as well.
Each design is custom and unique, taking into consideration the client's individual corporate image. I work with
my clients to come up with a design that they are happy with.
These sites are mostly some very recent ones... as a matter of fact, some of them, I may still be working
on.
Like this one... www.easylockselfstorage.com

This is a brand new business. The foundation for the storage facility wasn't even in yet, when I started
building the site. Both the site and the facility are almost done now. We're building some handy features into the
site, which make it easy for their customers to reserve storage units, and make rental payments, all online.
We're also building a mobile version of the site, which will make Google happy, and the client is going to get
into blogging on her new site, which Google also loves.
Add some good on-site optimization for the search engines, and we'll have the site on the first page of Google
in no time!
And, this one... www.meggarelectrical.com

This client's previous site looked good, but it wasn't performing in the search engines, so I was hired to
create a new site that will bring customers through first page placement in Google, Yahoo and Bing.
I'm almost finished the site, at this writing, and then then I'll be publishing it and promoting it with some good
SEO, social media, video and mobile marketing. So, watch for it on the first page of Google soon! This Vancouver
electrician is about to become very busy!
I did this one a few months ago... www.autoglassburnaby.ca

This site is a 'spin off' site from another one I did for the client, Action Glass. They wanted to create more
business for their Auto Glass Dept, so I recommended building a separate site for it. The new auto glass site is
already enjoying first page placement on Google, Yahoo and Bing! The owner and the dept manager are
both happy to have the phones ringing again. =o)
I finished this one a few months ago... www.britishhydraulics.com

The client wanted a design that was 'tougher' than their old one, since they're in an industrial industry. They
love the new look, and so do I!.... and the site is making its way to the first page of Google. It's one page 2, as
of this writing. I will continue to tweak the SEO until I get it on page one!
We will also be doing some social media and video marketing for this client.
Here's one I did last spring... www.summerlandbluegrass.com

The Summerland Bluegrass Group needed a new design for their website. This one is bright and warm... just like
Summerland!... and the Group says they're loving this new look, and the blog that I included on it, 'cuz now they
can interact with their site visitors - bluegrass fans and musicians alike!
A real estate development in the Kootenays... www.shilohlake.com

The real estate developer wanted a site that showed off the beautiful scenery on his recreational / retirement
property. Next, we're going to start implementing some Internet marketing strategies to better promote the
properties, including another site, social media, and video marketing.
This is a fairly new site... www.bcheritageparty.ca

A new political party in BC - just getting started. They wanted a clean look. I designed their logo, too!
Watch for it in the media, as they will soon be launching their marketing.
Here's a sharp-looking site... www.crackmasterskelowna.com

This was a new company to Kelowna, and they needed a web presence. They wanted something contemporary, sharp
with bright green. I believe we accomplished that!
The strategy I used was to actually build three sites for this client. The first on was a branding
site using the company name, and, because the owner has two different services - auto glass and truck
accessoreis, we needed to separate the two into separate websites, so they each had a chance for Google page 1
placements. Having both on one site would dilute the relevancy in Google's eyes for both departments.
The three sites have been up for about a year now, and sure enough, the main site is getting only page 2 and 3
placements, while the other two have page 1 placements for their main keywords.
The company is has been doing some of their own social media and directory listings for added off-site
SEO (search engine optimization). And, are going to also start making use of their blogs, which will help keep and
boost their Google placements.
I've built two websites for this client... www.monkeypuzzleltd.com

This client has an established and successful landscaping company, but didn't have a web presence. Now he does!
The site reflects the owner's fun-yet-professional image and personality.
The site is finished, although it will grow over time with the on-going addition of photos of projects, and
adding new pages.
The client wants to generate business from the Internet... to help him compete successfully with his competitors
who are already online...so I did some search engine optimization on his site, and within three weeks, his site was
on the 1st page of Google for several of his best keywords, and even a few #1 positions!
Over time, as the site ages and we add new content, photos and pages, the site will continue to do better and
better in the search engines.
If we were to implement more marketing strategies, I could have this business dominating the first page of
Google and Yahoo. ;o)
And here's the second site I built for Monkey Puzzle... www.landscapingpenticton.com

This site is an SEO optimized site, which includes a blog. Google loves websites with blogs because they
usually have new content added regularly. It is now settled into the first page of Google for its main
keywords! Now, we just need to get the Monkey Puzzle people going on their blog. They're just
too busy, with all the extra work they're getting from their page 1 positions! ;o)
This was a fun one to do... www.lipskin.ca

This company's old website needed a fresh, updated look. The old one was right out of the 90's!
This one is current... befitting a salon like theirs... has a couple of nice bells and whistles.
I did a little search engine optimization and now they have several #1 positions on Google and Yahoo! This is
another business that would be perfect for Social Media Marketing.
And, here's one I built a couple of years ago.. www.actionglassbc.com

Action Glass had a template website provided to them as part of their Yellow Pages ad package. It wasn't so great,
either in design or navigation. The client wanted something classier, easier to use, and they also wanted their
website to show up in Google searches, which old one wasn't.
The company actually offers a number of different services, and the old site made it hard to figure out what was
what. So, I compartmentalized everything into three separate areas of service. Now, it's easy for site visitors to
zero in on exactly what they're looking for.
The main design challenge was the company colours... blue and red on bright yellow. A combination that can make
it hard to get a classy look. But, we did it.
One of the owners had an idea of the look and feel he wanted for the site, so I took that idea and turned it
into a design that is totally unique. Since the company is all about glass, I put in some tall, glass buildings for
a background, and gave the page a look of glass on glass, as well as some design features that look like tinted
glass, including the nav buttons at the top right.
I did some onsite and offsite search engine optimization and got the site listed on the first page of Google for
a number of their best keywords. Our efforts have driven more Internet traffic to their website than their
YellowPages.ca listing... I mean, not just a little more...I mean, a TON more!
We're starting to implement several Internet marketing strategies, which include social media, a
mobile-friendly site, a YouTube video channel, and more . It will be exciting to see this
already-successful business, take an even bigger share of his market... while cutting the
company's advertising costs in half! Gotta love a plan like that.
Here’s one that was updated a couple of years ago… http://integrityenvironmental.ca

These guys needed a whole redesign for their website. They, too, needed a much more professional look. I wish I
could show you the old one, but I took it down and filed it away... far away. ;o)
The client and his staff love the new design. And, they oved the increase in traffic they were getting due to the
search engine optimization I did.
Recently though, the company restructured and changed hands, and so now the main keywords we optimized for are
irrelevant. I was asked to take out the info on the parts of the business that were sold off, and I modified the
seo.
Once the new owner has settled in a bit, we'll be discussing further marketing techniques to better promote the
one main service on which the company is now focussed. I know an online marketing strategy could grow this
business, and help the owner realize his dream of branching out to other locations.
I just have to show him how I can cut his advertising costs in half (at the very least!)...
and increase his sales. I know I can give him a waaay better ROI (return on investment) with an
online marketing campaign.
This was a fun one to work on… www.adelaideministorage.com

This is a mini storage business in Winnipeg. The owners wanted a website as part of their marketing, to
work with their yellow pages ads. The ads point to the website where the visitors can learn all about their
facility.
As you will see, their building is an old brick thing… secure for a storage facility? You bet! But, attractive?
… not so much. :o) Lots of character, though.
My challenge was that they wanted a picture of their building in their header graphic. I believe I managed to
make it work. They really love it, and that's what counts! And, they're totally enamoured of the 'storage space
calculator' that I installed. Not only is it useful for their site visitors, but they use it themselves all the
time! Search engine optimization wasn't part of this contract, however, I always automatically do a little
as I'm building a site. And, even with just a little seo, this site is on page 2 of Google for their main keyword.
With just a little more seo, I could have this site on page 1 in a jiffy!
Now for something different... www.tonasenergystudio.com

This client is a Reiki Master, and she is a very spiritual type. So, the colour I chose for her site is the colour
of the crown chakra. She wanted her site to have a peaceful, soothing feel to it, but professional at the same
time.. not too 'woo-woo'.
I put a large slide-show flash graphic on the homepage that shows some of the Reiki hand positions. My feeling was
that a visitor to the site who doesn't know what Reiki is, would see right off the bat what it involves.
I installed an interactive calendar on her site, that shows when her Reiki classes are (she teaches a certification
program as well as administers treatments). She can go in behind the scenes and put whatever she wants on the
calendar herself.
The project included some basic Internet marketing. I did some onsite and offisite stuff, and her site has been
performing very well in the search engines... several #1 placements! Not just page one... but the #1 position on
page one. =o)
Her type of business is perfect for social media marketing. Hmmm. We may need to schedule a chat soon. ;o)
Here's a really cute one...
www.condocat.ca

The client wanted something soft with lots of white space, but still professional-looking. She absolutely
loves it. I do too.
We recently did some SEO on the site, and we've got it onto the first page of Google. With a
little more on-ste and several off-site techniques, we could get it closer to the top of the page.
This is an older one, but one of my fave's... www.osoyooswintercarnival.com

The Carnival has been disbanded, but as of this writing, the site was still up. It has some nice features, and was
fun to do.
A Real Estate Investor wanted his site to match his business card… www.f-cubed.ca

So, I designed it to match the colour scheme and the background graphic. The topic is creating wealth through real
estate investment so we wanted the look and feel to project an image congruent with that.
